The New Village of Peace Building Project

After 50 years of living in Israel, we, members of the Hebrew Israelite community, are convinced of the genius of our lifestyle. We have invested ourselves in “mastering the art of living.” And today, we are certain of our ability to build a thriving, intelligent society in which every institution enhances our ability to live a healthy, synergetic and productive life. We can live without polluting our air, water and soil. We can access and manufacture essential products in a way that preserves our environment. We can grow safe, nutritious food. We can source renewable energy and recycle our water resources. Most importantly, we can create a sustainable social atmosphere that feeds our sanity. We are confident because we have rehearsed it over the past 5 decades.

We are committed to manifesting the next level of this vision in “The New Village of Peace” building project in Dimona, Israel. In essence, we are moving to build the life we want in a community where we and those of like mind and spirit can live. And we are asking you to join us in this effort.

The New Village of Peace project will be a “green neighborhood” of 304 housing units to be constructed on 18 acres of land in Dimona, under the auspices of our urban kibbutz, “Shomray HaShalom” (Guardians of Peace).

The visionary enterprises and service areas will be dedicated to ensure optimal health – from plant-based food, clothing and cosmetics manufacturing, to music, organic agriculture, health centers and stimulating social and intellectual engagements.

Water recycling and solar energy platforms are in line for implementation as well.

The plan includes service areas such as, a communal cafeteria, kindergarten, community culture and health care center, amphitheater, retail services area and light commercial manufacturing zone.

The construction will unfold in three phases. The land to accommodate the first phase of 73 housing units has been acquired, infrastructure developed and building permits secured.

The new project represents the next stage of development from the current Village of Peace, which has attracted visitors, and celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Winnie Mandela, Blair Underwood, Amare’ Stoudemire, Meagan Good, Devon Franklin, Chronixx, Muta Baruka and Whitney Houston – and others from around the world for its practical, sensible, harmonious social development.
