More than just a meal, Mujadara embodies the wisdom of ancient food traditions, combining humble ingredients to create a dish that’s both nourishing and
In the Village of Peace – we consume a plant-based/plant-based live-it.Why? The human body is 70% water and a 30% combination of minerals found in the soil.We consume these important substances in abundance – minerals as they are found in the fruits and vegetables that grow from the earth and water.
This ideal is rooted in the sacred connection between man and the earth… We realize that taking care of the earth is not only taking care of the source of our diet, but as importantly, the source of our being. So environmental conservation is not just an “ecological movement” – it is the way an intelligent society thinks and functions.
These 5 fundamental principles guide us in our pursuit of a healthy life:
Food is Medicine– locally grown fruits and vegetables provide essential nutrients and should be the centerpiece of a plant-based diet.
Water is Medicine–begin each day by drinking a glass of water and prepare the digestive system for the consumption of food, never eating and drinking together and disturbing the digestive process.
Rest is medicine– It has been proven that if you want to improve your life – rest more. Adequate rest is essential for the effective function of many of the body’s systems.
Exercise is Medicine– the mental and physical benefits of moderate exercise are well documented. In the Village of Peace, a comprehensive personal program 3 times weekly includes, stretching, strength and cardio/aerobic elements…., jogging, walking, playing sports, dancing etc…
Cleanliness is Medicine(personal and environmental hygiene) – health is directly tied to daily personal hygiene practices and our immediate and extended environments.
